Kent Network District Reps Get Together: Sun 26th April 2009. 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Venue: Beefeater near Ashford (Eureka Park) off J9 of M20. Make sure you find out who is attending on behalf your District and please let them, or Alan Noake, know of any issues you would like to see discussed. PUBSCOUT ’09: "Probably the best Network camp in the world". Fri 5th – Sun 7th June 2009. Aimed at members of the Scout association and Girl Guiding over the age of 18. Where : Coventry. Cost : £20 per person (if booked and paid before Monday 20th April 2009). More info at: www.pubscoutfestival.co.uk
REACH ’09: Sun 14th June 2009. Where: Hope Hill Camp Site, Meopham. We need Kent’s Network members to get involved. REACH is an activity day for young people aged 8 to 16 who have special or additional needs. The day gives these young people the chance to take part in a wide range of fun and adventurous activities. At past events Network members have kindly supported the event by providing some activities for young people to enjoy. So, if your Network has any special skills that you would be willing to share then we would be pleased to hear from you. In return, Network members will get an event t-shirt and, above all, a great sense of satisfaction and fun. REACH is totally free thanks to our sponsors. All you need to provide is transport to and from the event. If your Network is able to support REACH by providing an activity then please email ian.dodds@kentscouts.org.uk with your full contact details, an indication of the number of Network members likely to attend the event and a brief description of the activity or support you are able to offer.

Bat and Trap Event: Sunday 5th July
2009 Kent Networkers are joining Kent Fellowship Members for an afternoon
of the ancient Kentish game of Bat and Trap. Venue: Bexon Lane Campsite, near
Sittingbourne.

Kent International Jamboree ’09:
30th July - 6th August 2009. Whether your attending as a leader or just as
a networker this promises to be a great event for all participants.

Parachuting Weekend ‘09: 5th & 6th of September 2009 with the Army Parachute Association who have a parachute school and they have agreed to give us some beneficial rates. They have agreed if we can get at least 10 on the course the training would be £150 per person if we are unable to get 10 it would be £180 per person. The jump cost at the moment is £32 but we may be able to get this down if we can get as many as possible to do this activity. They can take a total of 36 in one weekend.
